How it is calculated

Boxes per layer = larger of two uniform 90° grid orientations. Layers = floor(usable height / box height). Total = min(geometric count, floor(maximum load / box weight)).

Worked example

A usable 120 × 80 cm pallet with 40 × 20 × 20 cm boxes fits twelve per layer. A 100 cm usable stacking height permits five layers, giving sixty boxes before a limiting weight constraint.

Before you calculate

Use the pallet's usable footprint and height available to the boxes, excluding the pallet itself when appropriate. Enter packed box weight and the relevant load limit. The two comparisons keep each layer uniformly oriented.

Interpreting the result

The estimate does not find mixed-layout packing optima or assess stability, compression strength, overhang and restraint. A permitted numerical load does not by itself establish safe transport or storage. Follow equipment and packaging requirements.

Use the units shown beside each field. Monetary fields labelled EUR stay in euros; changing language does not exchange currencies. Results are estimates under the stated assumptions.
