How it is calculated

Dimensional weight = length × width × height / carrier divisor. Reference weight = max(actual weight, dimensional weight), before service-specific rounding.

Worked example

A 50 × 40 × 30 cm parcel with divisor 5,000 has a dimensional weight of 12 kg. At 8 kg actual weight, the reference is 12 kg. Divisor 6,000 would give 10 kg.

Before you calculate

Measure the outer packed dimensions, including bulges and packaging. Obtain the correct divisor and units from the particular carrier and service. The editable divisor is a parameter, not a universal shipping rule.

Interpreting the result

Carriers may round dimensions and weights, impose minimums or apply other charges. The reference weight is not a final freight price or a binding carrier decision. Check the current service conditions before quoting shipping.

Use the units shown beside each field. Monetary fields labelled EUR stay in euros; changing language does not exchange currencies. Results are estimates under the stated assumptions.
