How it is calculated
Strips = ceiling(perimeter / roll width). Adjust strip length for trimming and vertical repeat. Strips per roll = floor(roll length / strip length). Rolls = ceiling(strips / strips per roll).
Worked example
A 10 m perimeter and 2.5 m wall height need twenty 0.5 m-wide strips. A 10 m roll provides four strips without trimming or repeat allowance, so five rolls are needed.
Before you calculate
Enter the full wall length to cover and a consistent cutting height. If you allow trimming at both ends, enter the sum once. Use the wallpaper's actual vertical repeat. Check any drop-match instructions separately rather than assuming a straight match.
Interpreting the result
The estimate uses complete strips and does not join short offcuts. Doors and windows are not automatically deducted because their offcuts may be unusable. Damaged paper, matching, wall irregularity and batch availability may justify extra material.
Use the units shown beside each field. Monetary fields labelled EUR stay in euros; changing language does not exchange currencies. Results are estimates under the stated assumptions.
